Required viewing/reading

This material is required and will prepare you for the lectures for that week. You should engage with all videos and readings in this section by taking notes on the major concepts, important points, questions you have, and any other significant takeaways. This material will be used for in-class quizzes!

Textbook content

The textbook readings are not required, but if you are (a) aiming for an “A” in the course, (b) are a social sciences major (e.g., geography), or (c) want to get the most out of the course, then you should complete these readings! Most are not long and they have been split up into manageable chunks to make them easier to digest.
