Geographies of Language
- Visit the Harvard dialect survey site and click on the “Maps and Results” link. Select three of the survey questions. For each, state how you would pronounce/refer to the given item, discuss the spatial patterns present on the maps, and if/how your term/pronunciation is consistent with the dominant term/pronunciation where you are from. If you are from a location not on the map, compare your pronunciation to the pronunciation closest to Eau Claire.
